Complete renovation of a flat at Gràcia neighborhood in Barcelona. We found a floor built in 1936 that retained the original distribution: divided into several small rooms, a sectorized kitchen far away from the common area, a toilet and a separate shower area located in the gallery that had leaks to the floor below and that worked like a plug removing light and ventilation to the floor. With the new distribution we generate a unique kitchen-dining-living space with natural light and ventilation directly connected to the gallery. In the place occupied by the original kitchen a complete bathroom is obtained and in the old toilet the installation area and the laundry room are placed. False ceilings are removed in the living area to get more height and metal beams and vaults are visible to reinforce the original image of the floor.
